It's okay. I know it's a shock. I remember dying so you don't have to tiptoe around it.

[ It takes Scott a good couple of minutes before he responds back. It would be a lie to say he doesn't think about Allison at least once a day. It's hard not to. It's Allison. She's important she always will be. ]

I think shock might be an understatement.

[ She'll be glad she wasn't forgotten. Her friends are everything to her and if she has to die (which apparently she did) she wants to be remembered. ]

Sorry. I probably should have let someone else tell you first.

[ He remembers it. Holding her while she bled out like that. The warmth of her remained even after she took her last breath. That's what Scott remembers. The sound of her voice as it got softer. He could hear her heart slowly stop. It's a heavy memory that lives on in vivid color in his head. ]

Don't be sorry, Allison. I'm glad you did.

[ Honestly, she'd much rather him remember the good things and not the sad. ]

Anyway, I'm okay. I'm staying with Lydia, working through the whole...everything and I know a lot of time has passed for some of our friends. Are you okay?

[ The good things are all there. How could they not be? But everything else is there too. It's Allison. The first person he loved. His anchor. Everything is there. Right below the surface. Good, bad and otherwise. He can't turn any of it off. ]

Um. To be honest? I don't know. Something happened not long ago that had me thinking of you, but it's strange to be able to talk to you again.

[ Fair enough. It's not like she can separate the good memories from the bad either. ]

Oh. [ give her a second while she tries to decide if she should worry about that and push Scott to tell her more, or give him some time to adjust. She's been lucky that everyone has been so patient with her here. Adjust it is. ]

I think it's a little weird for everyone. Lydia is here. Isaac and I know Derek is here, but I haven't talked to him.

[She should probably remedy that. She's been a little distracted. ]

[ It's probably for the best not to talk about that. A time when Scott worried that he wasn't doing enough. That he didn't do enough period. Worried about his friends. Everyone. But in the end she saved them. She saved him. ]

How're Isaac and Lydia taking it?

[ He doesn't ask about Derek because he knows Derek doesn't have extremely strong ties to Allison. Not like Lydia. Not like Isaac at the end there. ]

Are they okay?

[ Scott...they can talk about it later if he wants, or not if he doesn't. She gets that too. ]

They're good. I think they were shocked at first, but they both seem happy about it now. Isaac understood the possibility of it better than I did so I'm not sure he was shocked so much as wary. Lydia...she's just happy.

[ And she loves her friend so much that uncomplicated happiness. ]

[ When she died he tried so hard to contain everything. To hold everything in. To be the Alpha. All it got him was breaking down one morning while his mom held him. There's only so much he can stuff inside a box. Eventually they'll have to talk. Eventualy. ]

She missed you. A lot. Things haven't been easy for her lately, but she's getting really strong. To be honest probably stronger than me. I think you'd be pretty proud of her.

[ Oh Scott...at least he'd eventually broken down and let a little of it out. She's here and apparently, she's got time to wait for eventually. ]

Lydia always was stronger than she believed. How's Kira?

I agree. [ He hesitates on that question because Scott doesn't know. He hopes she's okay. That's all he can do. ] I don't know. I haven't seen her in a while. But it's okay. She kind of has to be away.

[ Allison doesn't miss that hesitation and it worries her. ] Oh. [ Aaaaaaaand she doesn't know what else to say about that. ]

It's good to see you again, Scott. I hope I'll see you around the resort. Live it up. This place really seems like paradise.

[ It's a weird topic. Him and Kira. She came. She went. She has to be there though. It's the only way. He gets that. He just wishes he could have found another way to help her. To save her. ]

Um. It's open. The smell. I feel a little more clear headed out there.

[ He's definitely not a werewolf. ]

[ It's an answer that works for her. She's not trying to pry, just get a feel for this place and the people in it. ]

Not a fan of small spaces then? I get it though. Sometimes I like to take my journal outdoors and write. It helps me think.

I can handle small spaces, but the outdoors is definitely better in the long run.

[ He's never really kept a journal, but that's mostly because he's not even sure what he'd put in there. ]

Bet that helps clear your head. How long have you been doing that?

[ Elena got a lot more to put in there after her parents died. Mostly, she writes about how damn weird her life has gotten. ]

It really puts things in perspective for me and let's me look at things a bit more clearly. Most of my life, actually, but I really started in earnest about three years ago. So what do you do to clear your head?
